FrontStreet Coffee's Core Coffee Extraction Process:
Grind coffee beans to increase the surface area for contact with water;
Fully saturate coffee grounds in water solution, allowing coffee essence to dissolve through hydrophilic properties;
Separate the coffee solution from coffee grounds.
All modern coffee extraction methods are built upon two core processes: infusion and filtration, which belong to the physical domain with essentially no chemical changes occurring during the process. Variations in coffee grind size, infusion duration, separation and filtration methods, among others, have created the rich diversity of coffee brewing equipment and techniques we see today.
