FrontStreet Coffee Guatemala Guava Plain Estate Coffee Introduction
Guatemala is located at approximately 15 degrees latitude, bordered by the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Caribbean Sea to the east. The Sierra Mountains on the Pacific side are the main coffee-growing region of Guatemala.
Because the mountain range extends for a considerable distance, regional climate variations are significant, creating the country's seven major coffee-producing regions, each with different flavors and characteristics. Among them, coffee from the Antigua region is renowned worldwide for its bright acidity, rich and mellow sweetness, and subtle volcanic notes.
The country's coffee belongs to the Arabica species and is processed using the washed method. In the distant northwestern region lies the Huehuetenango highlands. With elevations above 5,000 feet, the coffee produced there exhibits the characteristics of high-altitude coffee: dense texture, bright acidity, and rich flavor complexity, making it another distinctive coffee from Guatemala.
Guatemala is a renowned producer of premium Arabica coffee in Central America. Coffee from its five volcanic regions and three non-volcanic regions is exceptionally unique! Guatemala's eight major coffee-producing regions are: Nuevo Oriente, Antigua, Huehuetenango, Rainforest Cobán, Acatenango Valley, Atitlán, Fraijanes Plateau, and Volcán San Marcos. Among these, the famous Finca El Injerto estate is located in the Huehuetenango region!
