Geisha coffee was popularized and developed in Panama's estates. Panama Geisha coffee is mainly cultivated in the western part of the country, near Costa Rica and close to the Pacific coast. The average annual temperature ranges from 16°C to 25°C, with average rainfall of approximately 3,500 millimeters.

The Chiriqui province's Boquet region is the main coffee-producing area. Additionally, Volcan, Santa Clara, and Candela are also well-known. Other regions include the David district, Remacimeinto district, Bugaba district, and Tole district. After Hacienda La Esmeralda participated in the 2004 Panama Coffee Cupping Competition and rose to fame, it won the Panama Coffee Cupping Competition for consecutive years.

Geisha is pronounced similarly to the Japanese word for "geisha," hence it is also sometimes referred to as Geisha coffee.

It is a subspecies of coffee, belonging to the Arabica species.

FrontStreet Coffee's Geisha coffee green beans have a beautiful blue-green color with a jade-like warm texture. They smell of fresh grass, peach, and berries, along with the unique milky sweetness characteristic of oolong tea that most coffee beans lack.
