90+ NINETY PLUS JULIETTE Geisha (H2 Honey Process)
In the Geisha estates of Panama, there is a road leading to the Solkiln processing area, lined with Datura flowers. These bell-like Datura flower buds bloom in the evening, releasing a fascinating fragrance for just a short period during their bloom. They call them "mujer de la noche," meaning "woman of the evening." The flavor of Juliette is like Shakespeare's classic play 'Romeo and Juliet' - with rising climaxes and rich mouthfeel, as complex and captivating as the classic story itself.
Flavor Analysis
The enchanting floral notes gradually unfold in the front palate, followed by an incredibly varied fruit sweetness in the middle, reminiscent of jackfruit aroma with toffee sweetness. The complexity of the sweetness is extremely high, with different variations in every sip. The delicate cocoa aroma in the finish seems both real and illusory, like the beautiful yet substantial multi-layered flavors of Romeo and Juliet.
90+ NINETY PLUS PERCI Geisha (N Natural Process)
Perci's name originates from "Perspective," describing the ability to observe all sensory stimuli during coffee evaluation. Perci possesses an extremely rich flavor spectrum, including mango, pineapple, carob, plum, red grape, peach, red ginger, and more. When blind-tasting this coffee, the Ninety Plus team initially thought it wasn't Geisha, because its diverse expression exceeded the typical flavor认知 of Geisha with its prominent citrus and jasmine floral notes.
Flavor Analysis
The flavor is extremely rich, indeed not like traditional Geisha flavors. Floral notes, tropical fruit tones, mango, pineapple, carob - the mouthfeel variation is very high, with different sensations at different temperatures. The unique aftertaste has a champagne-like quality, delicate and moving.
Elida Estate Geisha
Elida Estate is located in the Boquete region of Chiriquí Province, Panama's western border province. The province's most famous landmark and tourist destination is the 3300-meter-high Barú Volcano - one of the highest volcanoes in Central America. With a total area of approximately 14,000 hectares, it can be divided into 7 different microclimate zones according to altitude. Many rare plants, birds, and mammals inhabit within the volcanic range, so it has been designated as a national park for protection, prohibiting hunting and human development and destruction. Coffee trees here fully absorb the essence of the earth, creating exceptional flavors.
Esmeralda Estate Geisha
Panama's Esmeralda Estate has always been a myth in the coffee world. Its status in the coffee industry is like DRC Romanée-Conti in the wine world. The Geisha variety produced by this estate has unparalleled flavor and has won numerous world championships and awards, including this year's BOP (Best of Panama) Geisha Natural Process champion, which was also won by Esmeralda Estate.
Esmeralda Estate's natural shade combined with the high altitude of 1700 meters and cool, humid weather produces coffee with a subtle citrus and floral aroma, distinctly different from general Panama coffee flavors. The varied microclimate and rigorous agricultural management create the unique flavor of Geisha coffee. Coffee beans produced in such an environment have allowed Geisha coffee to win the BOP cupping competition championship for 7 consecutive years.
Panama's Famous Esmeralda Estate
Panama's renowned Esmeralda Estate is located in the Boquete specialty coffee growing region. The area primarily grows Typica, Bourbon, Catuai, and Geisha varieties. Due to its dedication to and special care for the natural environment, it has received Rainforest Alliance certification. Although Esmeralda Estate is world-famous for its Geisha variety, its exceptional estate environment and green bean processing technology have made the estate's coffee beans beloved.
Panama's Esmeralda Specialty is a rare award-winning estate auction bean that has set new records three times in online auctions. June 2004: $21 per pound, May 2006: $50.25 per pound, May 2007: $130 per pound, and May 2010 reached $170 per pound. Here are other award records from Esmeralda Estate:

FrontStreet Coffee's Roasting Approach
FrontStreet Coffee takes the Green Label Geisha as an example. When roasting Green Label Geisha, we use 2018 harvest season Green Label Geisha from 1600-1800m altitude with high hardness and density. The beans are full-bodied, thick and long, with pointed ends. We choose 170°C as the dropping temperature, with first crack starting at 8'00", then reduce heat to 80°C, adjust the air damper to 3.5, develop for 1'30" after first crack, and drop at 193.5°C. When dropping, there's an oolong tea aroma, with a dense first crack development.
