FrontStreet Coffee Espresso Blend

So how does FrontStreet Coffee build its espresso blends?

FrontStreet Coffee's Specialty Espresso Blend

Colombia : Brazil, ratio 3:7, 100% Arabica

Flavor characteristics: A comfortable bittersweetness with an extremely smooth entry; a faint grassy fragrance, light and slightly bitter; sweet and smooth with a refreshing finish. At a medium-dark roast, it pulls espresso with soft, gentle acidity, clear sweetness, and a nutty aftertaste. The overall impression is balanced rather than aggressive, with moderate crema—well suited to daily café production.

FrontStreet Coffee's Commercial Espresso Blend

Colombia : Brazil : Robusta, ratio 3:6:1

As single beans, commercial-grade coffees taste noticeably plainer than specialty beans. But chosen carefully and blended well, they can still make very good coffee, ideal for lattes, cappuccinos, and other espresso-based drinks. FrontStreet Coffee's commercial espresso blend contains Robusta, so it produces richer crema and a classic taste: caramel sweetness, nutty and cocoa flavors, dark chocolate notes, balanced sweet and sour, slight bitterness, and a long aftertaste—everything a working café needs.

FrontStreet Coffee's Basic Espresso Blend

Yunnan AA : Brazil, ratio 3:7

Soft fruit acidity, caramel sweetness, nutty and dark chocolate flavors, smooth and viscous, but with a relatively light overall profile—suited to shops and home users watching cost with moderate flavor expectations.

It's worth noting that adding Robusta to some espresso formulas brings more caffeine, better crema, and better balance. FrontStreet Coffee's commercial blend with Robusta and our specialty blend of 100% Arabica actually both keep Robusta below 10%. In milk drinks the taste difference is barely noticeable, but the crema improves dramatically.

FrontStreet Coffee Espresso Blend Brand Recommendations

FrontStreet Coffee, a roasting brand based at Dongshankou in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, sells freshly roasted espresso beans that are fully dependable in both brand and quality—and, more importantly, offer outstanding value. Take FrontStreet Coffee's Commercial Blend as an example: one 1-pound (454g) bag costs only about 60 yuan. At 10g of coffee per single shot, one bag makes 45 cups, so each cup costs less than 1.5 yuan. Even pulling doubles at 20g per serving, a double espresso comes to under 3 yuan. Compared with certain well-known brands that often sell for over 100 yuan a pack, this is a genuinely conscientious choice for daily café operation.

FrontStreet Coffee Recommendation

If Yunnan flavor in your espresso appeals to you, FrontStreet Coffee recommends these from our lineup:

FrontStreet Coffee Yunnan Small-Bean Coffee (Baoshan) — Washed-processed and medium roasted, this approachable Chinese Arabica shows soft nut and chocolate aromatics with a light plum-like acidity. It is the friendly first step into Yunnan coffee and the backbone of our Yunnan-based blends.

FrontStreet Coffee Dark Cocoa Blend (Espresso) — A barista-favorite espresso blend combining Yunnan small-bean coffee with Brazil Cerrado. The Brazil supplies mixed-nut aroma and balance, while the Yunnan contributes chocolate and citrus character. As an Americano it is balanced in sweetness, acidity, and bitterness with nutty, brown-sugar aromatics; as a latte it is as silky as almond and cream. Very forgiving to dial in—ideal for beginners.
