What is Coffee Blend?
Blended coffee is contrasted with single-origin coffee.
Single-origin coffee refers to coffee beans from a single variety, single origin, or single roast level; blended coffee refers to coffee beans from different varieties, different origins, or different roast levels, combined according to specific needs, typically using 2-5 types of coffee beans.
Why Blend Coffee?
There are generally four purposes for blending.

Pour-over is just one way we make coffee, and it has no specific requirements for coffee beans.
Usually, we use single-origin coffee for pour-over to taste the flavors of coffee from its origin; while some well-blended coffee beans can also showcase their unique flavors through pour-over.

There's no good or bad distinction, only which one you prefer to drink.
In terms of price, there's no absolute expensive or cheap. Although blending is sometimes done to reduce costs, some blended coffee beans use several varieties that are not cheap themselves. At the same time, they embody the great efforts of the roaster and have won everyone's praise, so their prices are not necessarily cheaper than some single-origin coffees.
When drinking espresso in a café, what you generally taste is made from blended coffee beans; but if you're drinking pour-over coffee, it's recommended that beginners start with single-origin coffee, familiarizing themselves with the flavors that coffee from each region has.
