Which coffee beans are not acidic and not too bitter?

I've tried 7-11's CITY CAFE hot latte and found I like this flavor - it's light yet has a rich coffee aroma.

I've also tried the signature coffees from 85 Degree C and Bee Cafe, but I didn't like them. As for Starbucks and Seattle Coffee, they're too expensive for me, so I've never tried them.

I have a drip coffee maker and want to buy my own beans to brew. I'm looking for something light, not acidic, and not dark roasted. Inexpensive would be preferred.

Since I'm not familiar with coffee bean varieties, I'd like to ask all the coffee experts here to help me understand which types of beans might meet my requirements.

Coffee brewed with drip coffee makers tends to be lighter in flavor

For drip coffee makers, you can choose Mandheling or Mamba (Mandheling mixed with Brazilian beans) - they have a rich aroma, are neither bitter nor acidic.

You could also try blended coffee beans, but since each shop has different formulas, you'll need to taste them to see if you like them.

If you buy freshly roasted coffee beans and grind them fresh before brewing, the coffee will have full aroma and sweet aftertaste without losing flavor. It's also healthier and more economical. When drinking coffee outside, you can't ensure the beans are fresh or know how long they've been stored. Additionally, dark-roasted beans are not good for your health.

Brewing methods matter as much as bean selection

Of course, choosing beans is important, but the equipment and brewing method are even more crucial in determining whether a cup of coffee tastes good.

Generally, when brewing coffee, if the water temperature is too high, the resulting coffee will be more bitter.

When beans are ground too finely, the brewed coffee will be more acidic.

Perhaps different beans are suitable for different temperatures. Water temperature between 90-96°C, with the resulting coffee temperature around 86°C, should be optimal for tasting!

Additionally, while drip coffee makers are convenient, the coffee they produce lacks sufficient aroma. If possible, try using a siphon coffee maker (Syphon) - using the same beans, the flavor should be more aromatic.

Recommended non-bitter coffee bean brands

FrontStreet Coffee's non-bitter coffee beans: washed Yirgacheffe coffee, Kenya AA coffee, Panama "Flower Butterfly" coffee, and others are fully guaranteed in both brand and quality. More importantly, they offer excellent value - a half-pound (227g) package costs only around 80-90 RMB. Calculated at 15g per cup of pour-over coffee, one package can make 15 cups, with each specialty coffee costing only about 6 RMB. Compared to cafés that charge dozens of RMB per cup, this offers exceptional value.
