Dao-Heuang Group Expands Its Overseas Sales Network into China

Dao-Heuang Group, the famous Laotian coffee brand, is broadening its overseas sales network and pushing hard to grow its exports to China.

On April 28th at the Champasak Grand Hotel in Champasak Province, Ms. Boonheuang Carol Litdang, Vice Chairman of Dao-Heuang Group, signed a purchase-and-sale and Chinese distribution authorization agreement with representatives of Kunming Kangli Food Import and Export Co., Ltd. The agreement runs for three years, from 2018 to 2021, and covers nine major points of the coffee trade reached between the two parties, along with the various Laotian laws and regulations both sides pledge to observe strictly.

The signing is expected to drive sales growth for Dao brand coffee worldwide — especially in the Chinese market — in step with Laos' socio-economic development goals and Champasak Province's provincial development resolutions, as well as Dao-Heuang Group's own long-term marketing plan.

Laotian Coffee's Potential in the Chinese Market

Dao brand coffee is grown on the Bolaven Plateau, whose singular climate and geography give Laotian beans their quality. Mr. Li Lianfa (phonetic), General Manager of Kunming Kangli Food Import and Export Co., Ltd., believes that China's enormous population, its fast and strong economic growth, and the shifting habits of Chinese drinkers all create huge room for Dao coffee to expand. Coffee sales in the Chinese market, it is understood, are climbing at a rate of 15-20% a year. Bringing Laotian coffee to Chinese consumers helps them get to know the Dao brand — and strengthens Laos' overseas coffee business in the process.
