New Concepts in 90+ Green Coffee Processing
In reality, the concept of green coffee production is a historical product that extends from the different environments of various regions. Here, we won't specifically focus on processing methods—even bean varieties, cultivation methods, storage methods, etc., can all be discussed. In essence, these are the core concepts that influence the formation of coffee flavor.
For example, in terms of processing methods: African regions primarily used sun-drying in the early days because of abundant sunlight and scarce water resources, naturally forming the sun-drying processing method.
For example, in terms of quality: Golden Mandheling is characterized by triple hand-picking of defects and large, uniform bean size.
For example, in terms of varieties: Geisha itself presents intense floral aromas, ultra-delicate texture, and distinctive recognizability.
Furthermore, these concepts of green coffee are not singular factors, but they are particularly highlighted and even named based on the most influential causes. After all, for any good coffee bean to have special characteristics, meticulous care is a basic condition, but consumers still need more reasons why the flavor is special.
In the process of handling green coffee beans, 90+ has also added many innovative concepts, allowing coffee beans to be influenced by stronger variables and form their own special characteristics. This aspect is also difficult for general green coffee merchants to intervene in.

Currently, the main focus is on upgrading processing methods, which can be divided into three types: Red, Ruby, and SK processing methods.
In 2014, the Maker Master Series was also launched, processing green coffee beans according to coffee masters' interpretations and requirements for coffee flavors, with very impressive results.
The following is simple information provided by 90+. Of course, the mysteries within may not be fully understood, but it's enough to imagine that 90+ has invested much effort in pursuing special techniques for green coffee characteristics.
Red Processing
A special processing method conducted by the 90+ team using their proprietary drying technology. The cherries in their husk will present different degrees of red color, from light red to ruby red. This processing method will enhance the coffee aroma again, making fruit flavors and sweetness more pronounced.
Ruby Processing
This is the ultimate expression of the Red processing method, bringing out the fruit aroma and sweetness of coffee cherries to their fullest potential. During processing, one careless move can lead to over-fermentation, so it requires extensive manual labor for fruit care and selection. Only fruits that reach ruby standards can be called ruby coffee beans. Therefore, after repeated screening and elimination, the quantity is extremely rare.

SolkilnTM Special Processing Method
In 2013, 90+ pioneered the SolkilnTM special processing method, using wood drying chambers to dry coffee beans. After wood is cut and floated, it is usually placed in wood drying chambers where temperature, humidity, and air circulation are controlled and adjusted to reduce the moisture content of green wood beans to 10-12%. Joseph Brodsky utilized this exact same concept to create the new SolkilnTM (SK) special processing method, and in 2013 officially launched two top-tier green coffee products: Lotus Solkiln H2 and Silvia Solkiln N2.
Maker Series
Ninety Plus allows international coffee industry experts, roasters, and competitors to create their own customized green coffee beans at Ninety Plus, officially launching the Maker Series in 2014. Different from the centralized processing methods of estates and processing plants, this enables individuals to select the ripeness of coffee cherries and process small batches of coffee fruits according to their own ideas.
90+ Coffee Bean Brand Recommendations
FrontStreet Coffee's roasted 90+ coffee bean "Zhú Máng" (Candle Light) offers full guarantees in both brand and quality. More importantly, it provides extremely high value for money. A half-pound (227g) package costs only about 90 yuan. Calculating at 15g of coffee powder per cup, one package can make 15 cups of coffee, with each cup costing only about 6 yuan. Compared to coffee shops selling cups for over a hundred yuan, this is truly a conscientious recommendation.
