Medium Roast Coffee Powder
This was purchased in the small food area at IKEA, located outside the main store.
I actually chose this bag of coffee because I was attracted to its packaging. There were jars of opened coffee powder on display, and after smelling it, I found it quite fragrant, so I took a bag.
Don't expect too much from the quality of such a large bag of coffee powder that costs only a few dozen yuan. However, for someone like me who is less particular, adding milk makes it quite enjoyable.
This product requires a French press to filter out the coffee grounds before drinking. French presses are available at IKEA, or you can buy one on Taobao for about a few dozen yuan. They're also relatively easy to clean.
You'll also need to buy a sealed container because once opened, it's just a vacuum-sealed bag of coffee powder that can easily absorb moisture. IKEA also displays attractive glass sealed containers next to it.
IKEA Medium Roast Coffee Powder
IKEA's medium roast coffee powder is a blend of 85% Arabica coffee beans and 15% Robusta coffee beans.
Origin: Netherlands.
Arabica Coffee Beans
Arabica coffee beans possess diverse and broad potential flavor profiles.
Arabica coffee produced from different regions, altitudes, and climates typically has its own unique characteristics.
It can showcase distinctly different personality flavors.
Robusta Coffee Beans
Robusta coffee beans usually have relatively plain, rigid, and pungent flavors.
The flavor differences produced by different regions and climates are not significant, lacking individuality.
However, the caffeine content is about twice that of Arabica.
The Blend Experience
The combination of both has a strong fruity acidity when smelled, with some notes reminiscent of blueberry aroma—very unique fragrance.
Drip by drip extraction...
The color presents a clear coffee hue.
When drunk directly, it has a pleasant acidity without strong bitterness.
With careful tasting, you can easily discover the characteristics of both Arabica and Robusta coffee beans.
Both have acidity without obvious bitterness.
The light fruit aroma is a characteristic of Arabica coffee beans.
While the unique texture similar to barley tea is a characteristic of Robusta coffee beans.
The roast level of both should be between light-medium to medium.
Drinking it straight allows you to experience the different characteristics and personalities of the two coffee beans.
However, it might inevitably feel somewhat monotonous.
At this point, you can heat milk and create a rich, dense milk foam to add...
Creating a Cappuccino
Combine 1/3 espresso, 1/3 hot milk, and 1/3 dense milk foam.
It becomes a cappuccino with dense milk foam and a smooth texture where coffee and milk combine!
The Perfect Moment
On a leisurely holiday afternoon, make yourself a cup of coffee according to your own preferences.
Sit quietly by the window drinking your coffee alone!
A cup of coffee can be simple or luxurious—the same is true for the touching moments in life!
When you start enjoying life,
A day will no longer be just busy work.
