Hermès Creates a Whimsical Garden-Themed Pop-up Café in London

▲ Hermès has created a pop-up coffee shop on the second-floor terrace of its New Bond Street store in London.

Boutique brands and coffee shops often have interesting connections. Whether or not one can afford the clothes and handbags is one thing, but sitting in their coffee shops, sipping a latte and tasting a piece of cake, even the air you breathe feels fresh.

Colorful table tennis balls surround Henry Moore's sculpture, with white tables and chairs being quite eye-catching.

The most surprising feature of the HERMÈS pop-up coffee shop in London is the "growth" of over 3,000 table tennis balls on the ground, creating a magnificent scene that has left people captivated and eager to take photos. The coffee cups used for drinking cost approximately 1,000 RMB, which is quite extraordinary.

The coffee shop is located on the second-floor terrace of the Hermès store on New Bond Street in London. The space was designed by the Isabel + Helen studio, drawing inspiration from the A Walk in The Garden dinnerware collection designed by Nigel Peak for Hermès. The details are intricately connected, creating a delightful feeling of strolling through a wondrous garden.

Each small ball represents a flower.

The numerous balls are arranged on transparent rods, graded from golden yellow, orange, red, to pink. These small balls are an extreme simplification of flowers, cleverly presenting the artistic conception of walking into a garden. The abstract flowers surround Henry Moore's large sculpture "Reclining Figure," as if sitting or reclining on a flower bed, which is quite interesting. The tables and chairs are pure white, simple, smooth, and very eye-catching.

The dinnerware used in the shop is, of course, from Hermès' A Walk in The Garden collection. The patterns are abstract and geometric, yet soft and full of life. The menu includes exquisite cakes, pastries, tea, or coffee. Unfortunately, this pop-up coffee shop was indeed fleeting, having already closed on July 20th. However, it's believed that Hermès will introduce newer coffee shops in the future, so if you want to experience it, there will definitely be opportunities.
