The coffee beans have a smooth flavor, moderate acidity, and sweet citrus qualities with caramel notes, possessing a special charm. Abateraninkunga Ba Sholi is a women-run coffee cooperative in the Muhanga district of central Rwanda, supporting community operations through coffee. The cooperative's name itself means "mutual assistance," and the core spirit within the cooperative is service to others. These women united to revitalize their local coffee market, knowing that producing high-quality coffee could bring new strength to the local economy. This coffee originates from the cooperative's female agronomists' understanding of environmental ecology, through sustainable soil utilization, focusing on the growth and cultivation of coffee seedlings, continuous pruning of coffee trees, and selective harvesting of fully ripe coffee cherries. Years of relentless effort have produced profound impacts; the cooperative has helped alleviate poverty in the region. While enjoying this coffee, besides the amazing and satisfying flavor, we also take pride in being able to offer this coffee that helps local communities grow.
