Lemon Manor comes from the Tarrazú region, which has the highest latitude in Costa Rica. The coffee cherries are processed by the Corrientes Micro-Mill, which has over 60 years of experience in coffee processing. The natural process uses refined African drying beds, making the overall coffee flavor cleaner and brighter.
The Tarrazú region has the highest average latitude, excellent climate, and soil conditions, making it the most famous and generally recognized as the best coffee-producing region in Costa Rica.
The Jorge Gutiérrez family has been growing coffee in this region since the 1950s and operates a small Corrientes Micro-Mill to process green beans. The coffee is grown at altitudes ranging from 1,200 to 1,900 meters, with varieties including Caturra, Catuai, and Bourbon. In 2011 and 2012, they participated in Costa Rica's Cup of Excellence competition, achieving 4th and 6th place respectively.
