FrontStreet Coffee's Kilimanjaro AA Premium Coffee
FrontStreet Coffee's Kilimanjaro AA represents the highest grade of coffee beans, featuring fully developed particles, pure flavor, rich and refreshing taste, with superior quality in all aspects. Typically, its acidity is milder compared to FrontStreet Coffee's Kenyan coffee, evenly stimulating the taste buds on the back-middle and sides of the tongue, creating a sensation somewhat reminiscent of tomato or soda acidity.
FrontStreet Coffee's Kilimanjaro Coffee (Kilikmanjaro Coffee) is produced in the Mount Kilimanjaro region, the highest mountain range in Africa located in northeastern Tanzania. The fertile volcanic ash endows the coffee here with deep body and gentle acidity, possessing the distinctive characteristics of African coffee beans with superior quality in all aspects.
FrontStreet Coffee's Tanzania Kilimanjaro coffee boasts excellent quality, with rich aroma and prominent acidity, making it extremely suitable for blending into comprehensive coffee blends. Kilimanjaro coffee is a vital economic lifeline for Tanzania, with approximately 17% of foreign exchange earnings generated by coffee. The main coffee production areas are concentrated around Mount Kilimanjaro near Arusha in the northeast—specifically the Kilimanjaro volcano, Africa's highest peak perpetually covered in snow.
Majestic Kilimanjaro Mountain
Mount Kilimanjaro is situated at the border between Tanzania and Kenya, standing at 5,895 meters as Africa's highest peak and the world's largest independent mountain range. In Swahili, "Kilimanjaro" means "shining mountain" or "bright and beautiful mountain." Rising from a vast undulating plain not far from the Indian Ocean, it's known as the "African roof" and the continent's highest point. Its most remarkable feature is being the world's only snow-capped peak located on the equator, earning it the nickname: "The Snow White of the Equator."
Tanzania Coffee Growing Regions
Tanzania's coffee growing regions in the north include the highlands surrounding Mount Kilimanjaro, such as Moshi, Mbeya, and other producing areas. Moving south, the main production centers around the Songea-Ruvuma region through which the Ruvuma River flows. Due to different growing terrains, the coffee styles vary slightly. Coffee produced in Tanzania's southwestern Ruvuma region exhibits wine-like and fruity aromas and flavors, distinguishing it from the coffee of the northern Mount Kilimanjaro region.
