Yirgacheffe is a small town situated at an altitude of 700-2,100 meters, representing the epitome of Ethiopian specialty coffee. This area has been a wetland since ancient times, where the ancient word "Yirga" means "to settle down" and "Cheffe" means "wetland." The coffee production methods and flavors here are so exceptional that Ethiopian coffee farmers compete to have their coffee exhibit Yirgacheffe characteristics, making it the most prestigious coffee-growing region in Africa.
