Starbucks' "Good Start to Work, Filled with Expectations" Event
Recently, Starbucks launched the "Good Start to Work, Filled with Expectations" event. Consumers only need to accumulate actual purchases of 150 yuan during the event period to apply for and receive a new laptop bag!
From Starbucks' earliest promotional images, there were four laptop bags available for consumers to choose from: the "Great Rabbit Fortune" style, the "Bag Replica" style, the "Coffee Tasting" style, and the "Love Starbucks" style. Among these, the one accused of plagiarism this time was the "Great Rabbit Fortune" style laptop bag.
When Starbucks released the promotional images, visually sharp netizens pointed out the alleged plagiarism of the luxury brand Alexander Wang. Netizens noted that the "Great Rabbit Fortune" style was very similar to a bag from the Alexander Wang brand and posted comparison images.
Starbucks Responds to the Controversy
Afterward, Starbucks China has withdrawn the previous promotional images. In the newly updated Weibo promotion on January 28th, only three laptop bags remained.
Currently, Starbucks has removed the "Great Rabbit Fortune" style laptop bag from sale. In the activity graphics of Starbucks' ordering mini-program, the content related to the "Great Rabbit Fortune" style laptop bag has also been removed. However, when opening the activity terms, the words "Great Rabbit Fortune style laptop bag" are still visible.
As of the time of this publication, Starbucks officials have not responded to this incident.
