This quantity is truly astonishing—consider that in 2021, domestic green bean importers only imported 30-40 tons of Guji coffee beans in total.
The Origin of "Guji Queen" Coffee
The name "Guji Queen" coffee can be traced back to 2017, when a coffee bean from Guji Guji won the TOH natural process championship. In the same year, Li Jianfei used this bean to win second place in the China division of the World Brewers Cup, at a time when almost everyone was using Geisha. This made the Guji bean particularly outstanding. Beijing green bean importer Hongshun Coffee introduced this batch of coffee beans to China and named it "Guji Queen," meaning "the leader of geishas" (Geisha coffee is also known as Geisha coffee).
Authentic Guji Queen Coffee
FrontStreet Coffee believes that truly authentic Guji Queen coffee beans are only those from the Guji "Buku Abel" processing plant that won the TOH championship in 2017. Other or later Guji Queen 2.0, Guji Queen 3.0... are all derivatives of Guji Queen coffee beans. The 2017 Guji Queen is remembered so well because of its unique strawberry flavor. The subsequent Guji Queen X.0 series, however, has moved in other flavor directions.
The Evolution of Guji Queen Coffee
However, Hongshun's deep cultivation of the Guji Queen coffee IP and years of communication with producing regions have led to outstanding performance in the 2021 Guji Queen 5.0. Although the strawberry flavor is no longer prominent, it still shows rich citrus-berry notes that are particularly favored by domestic coffee enthusiasts.
The Arrival of New Season Guji Queen
The arrival of 2022 also means the new season of Guji Queen coffee beans is coming.
