Scott Schaible, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Liquid Core Gum, said the original marketing idea behind this coffee-liquid gum was as a substitute for a second or third cup of coffee. The caffeine in this gum is extracted from coffee and coffee beans, not from some coffee-flavored food additive.

Since each small piece of gum has a liquid center, chewing this coffee-flavored gum genuinely delivers the experience of drinking coffee. Even people who do not regularly drink coffee can feel what drinking coffee is like, and get fresh breath at the same time.

Another advantage of this coffee-flavored gum is that when you really have no time to wait for a cup of coffee, or drink one, it serves as an excellent alternative. Being solid and small, it can simply go in your bag as you get on with your day.

Unlike liquid coffee, which needs a cup to hold it, risks spilling when you are on the move, and may leak onto your clothes as you drink.

On Liquid Core's official website, it clearly states that each small piece of this coffee-infused gum contains a coffee center with 80 milligrams of caffeine. A pack contains 5 small pieces, meaning one pack of gum has 400 milligrams of caffeine, which is the upper limit of daily caffeine intake recommended by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for a healthy adult.

According to Yahoo's report, if you want to try a lower-caffeine version of this coffee-flavored gum, you can simply squeeze the coffee center out of the gum.

According to the official website's product description, it can help people improve focus, enhance memory and relieve stress. It is also a sugar-free and gluten-free product, with stevia used as its sweetener.

It is priced at $7.49 per pack (approximately 48.6 RMB), while a box of 15 packs costs $52.99 (approximately 343.3 RMB). The price does not include shipping fees and tariffs.

This convenient, quick caffeine source, which even saves the time of extracting an espresso, looks like a decent choice for trying something new given its price. In the long run, though, it is still more aromatic to buy a bag of coffee beans and brew it yourself. After all, two pieces of gum could match the price of six or seven cups of Panama's Emerald Estate Blue Label Geisha.
