FrontStreet Coffee - Introduction to Mexican Coffee
Mexican coffee may be rarely heard of and seldom seen in the market, but rarity doesn't mean inferiority. Mexican coffee is designed for those who enjoy mild, mellow coffee. Mexican coffee is typically described as light-bodied with low acidity and nutty flavors. The finest Mexican coffees offer a tart taste, delicate texture, and pleasant dryness—much like fine white wine.
Due to the different coffee-growing regions within the country, Mexican coffee offers a variety of flavors and characteristics. This makes the coffee uncomplicated and suitable as a base for different blends.
Chiapas is Mexico's premium coffee bean producing region, located near the Mexico-Guatemala border. Its coffee is renowned for its unique delicate, mild flavors and rich, bright acidity with a medium body. It's said that a cup of Chiapas coffee can match the taste and complexity of Guatemalan coffee.
