Chelan comes from the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia and is one of the varieties of Yirgacheffe.
However, unlike the Yirgacheffe you've had before, Chelan is one of the most important premium origins in this region - truly the cream of the crop.
It is grown at an altitude of 2100-2300 meters. The high elevation allows it to receive more sunlight, resulting in fuller, more mature coffee fruits with better flavor!
