High yield, however, does not guarantee high quality: most Brazilian coffee is of average quality, and the main varieties grown are Catuai, Catimor, and Bourbon.

Colombia is the world's second-largest coffee exporter, with production accounting for about 15% of global output. Its trees grow mainly across three mountain ranges running north to south, and it cultivates only Arabica varieties.
