Dipilto is one of the smallest municipalities in Nicaragua, covering an area of 106 square kilometers. 90% of its 5,000 inhabitants live in rural areas. Dipilto is renowned for its pine forests, warm climate, religious fervor, loyal people, and high-quality coffee.
Coffee cultivation is an important tradition maintained by the residents of Dipilto. The fertile soil, rich in organic matter, and elevations above 1,200 meters provide suitable climate conditions for coffee growth. Dipilto's traditional Arabica coffee varieties are well-suited to the average temperature of 20°C and annual rainfall, with Caturra and Bourbon being the main varieties. Under the shade, coffee trees coexist harmoniously with nature, while dedicated plantation management provides ideal conditions for producing premium coffee.
