The finest Blue Mountain coffee must be produced from the Blue Mountains peak on Jamaica Island, known as the "Black Pearl of the Caribbean." Jamaica Island is home to many peaks above 1,500 meters in elevation, with the Blue Mountain Peak located in the central section at 2,256 meters above sea level, making it the highest peak in the Caribbean region. This area lies within the coffee belt, with year-round fog and rain, possessing the fertile volcanic soil that coffee trees love most, along with a humid climate and clean, unpolluted air... The world-renowned Blue Mountain coffee is nurtured in such soil.

Jamaica - Blue Mountain Coffee

Jamaica's coffee has three grades:

Blue Mountain Coffee (Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee): Both Blue Mountain coffee and High Mountain coffee are further divided into four grades each. In terms of quality, from highest to lowest, they are: NO.1, NO.2, NO.3, and PB, where PB stands for Peaberry (round beans). According to CIB standards, only coffee grown at elevations above 666 meters can be called Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee.

High Mountain Coffee (Jamaica High Mountain Supreme Coffee Beans): Coffee produced below 666 meters in the Jamaican Blue Mountain region is called High Mountain Coffee, which is second only to Blue Mountain coffee in quality.

Jamaica Prime Coffee Beans: Coffee grown outside the Blue Mountain range is called Jamaica Coffee. There is a common misconception that coffee grown in the Blue Mountain region is automatically called Blue Mountain coffee.

China has authentic Blue Mountain coffee because with the decline of Japan's economy, they can no longer purchase such large quantities of Blue Mountain coffee, so the Jamaican Coffee Board needs to find other partners. China's coffee development has been rapid this year, with coffee becoming the first choice for many young people, so some domestic green bean merchants have imported authentic Blue Mountain coffee, but the price remains expensive. A cup of Blue Mountain coffee can cost over a hundred yuan, which is difficult to afford.
