Brazil's three major specialty coffee producing regions are Cerrado in the mid-west of Minas province, South Minas, and Mogiana. Brazil Blossom Valley Yellow Bourbon is located in Brazil's Cerrado region. However, not all coffee produced in the Cerrado grasslands can bear the Cerrado name - only those grown on the plateaus of mid-west Minas province at elevations of 1,100-1,300 meters, with high altitude and fertile soil, can produce high-quality coffee that is mellow, has high body, and lacks earthy flavors.
Generally, Yellow Bourbon commands a slightly higher price, but its unique sweetness and body are significantly better than the common Mundo Novo variety or Red Bourbon typically used in Brazil. Especially in the aftertaste, you can experience a warm cashew-like nutty finish.
Blossom Valley's Yellow Bourbon uses natural processing, yet achieves excellent cleanliness and rich body.
