Yet the entire estate spans just 30 hectares, and its coffee trees grow mostly on rugged mountain slopes, making harvesting extremely difficult and yields very limited. As early as 2009, roasted coffee from Amber Estate had already entered the Chinese market, but at that time Blue Mountain green beans were not yet genuinely imported for sale there — most were bought by Japan. From 2010 onward, green beans from other estates, including RSW, Mavis Bank, Wallenford, and Golden Cup, gradually entered the Chinese market.
