Gedeb is located on the southeastern border of the Oromia region, approximately 40 kilometers south of the Yirgacheffe growing area. With an altitude of about 1900-2100 meters, the volcanic loam soil in this area can retain large amounts of moisture and store nutrients, providing long-term nourishment for plants while preventing nutrient loss.
Knowledge Expansion:
Yirgacheffe is a sub-region of Ethiopia's Sidamo region, which was established separately due to its distinctive flavor profile. In addition to the town of Yirgacheffe itself, it includes three other sub-regions: Wenago, Kochere, and Gelena/Abaya.
