When seeing a cup of black single-origin coffee, people often say: "Oh, is this Americano coffee you made?"

Don't get it wrong!

Americano coffee is simply an Espresso diluted with water. Let's first look at how Americano coffee emerged and got its name. Americano was born after World War II, when Americans, after concluding the European war, had many troops stationed in Southern Europe. They couldn't drink Espresso straight, so they diluted it with warm water. This was the only concentration they could accept, which shows that Espresso wasn't universally loved from the start! Since this drinking method was mainly used by American soldiers, people named it Americano coffee.

Single-origin coffee is made from coffee beans originating from a single producing region, ground and prepared as pure coffee, generally without adding milk or sugar when drinking. It has distinct characteristics and special flavors: some are fresh and gentle, others are fragrant and smooth; the cost is relatively high, so the price is also more expensive.

Reading this, are you still confused? Actually, it's very simple.

Americano coffee is made by diluting concentrated coffee with water before drinking, because this concentrated liquid usually comes from - a blend of several types of beans, then deeply roasted (more bitter,容易上火), and extracted through nine atmospheres of pressure.

Single-origin coffee, however, is made using only one type of bean, with a lighter roast than the former (taste like flower tea, not easily heaty), and can be prepared under normal atmospheric pressure.

Have you ever suddenly craved a cup of coffee while traveling? In a carefree journey, without a cup of coffee, it feels like something is missing!
