Over these three years, I've accumulated experiences visiting numerous cafés. Compared to brewing coffee at home, I've come to enjoy more the pleasure of sitting in outdoor cafés, basking in the sun, and chatting with friends. After meeting barista Ms. D, I also transformed from someone who only knew Flat Whites and Lattes into someone who learned to appreciate single-origin coffees. More often, we wander through streets and alleys searching for interesting coffee shops. As more people drink coffee, the quality of Guangzhou's cafés has gradually improved. These years have witnessed the rise of niche cafés in Guangzhou. Every time I encounter good coffee, it feels like finding a needle in a haystack—both rare and exciting.

Thus came this sharing of my visits:

Old District Neighborhood Flavors

FrontStreet Coffee

A specialty coffee shop in Old Dongshan that you shouldn't miss.

A nostalgic atmosphere from the Republic of China era's villas and street alleys.

Every time I visit in the afternoon.

The elderly locals playing chess near the tram station, and elementary and middle school students after school make that area exceptionally lively.

But once you walk into Shuguyuan Road, Miaoqian West Street, or Xinhepu Road.

It's like entering another world.

I spent my most youthful and beautiful six years of middle school in Dongshan.

From time to time, I return to wander near my alma mater, Pui Ching.

Besides wanting to relive those days of going to and from school.

I truly love the atmosphere of the Dongshan area.

Perhaps due to the abundance of trees, the air feels especially fresh and charming.

The leisurely and pleasant atmosphere helps me relax considerably.

Of course, Dongshan wouldn't be complete without its boutique cafés.

Café No. 10, Kui Yuan...

But today, I want to talk about the unassuming one on Yandun Road.

The ancient European-style villas on Yandun Road are countless.

FrontStreet Coffee, however, is modestly situated on the ground floor of a residential building.

Because back then, when walking home from school, I always imagined when I could drink coffee inside—without having to do homework.

Hahahaha.

This place has been around for 5 years.

But it has already become a popular professional café in Guangzhou.

Inside the warmly-styled storefront, there are only 4-5 wooden tables and chairs.

The coffee bar occupies nearly a quarter of the space.

Shelves display different coffee beans for customers to choose from.

The British Pegasus coffee machine sits quietly in a corner.

Cold drip coffee maker.

Pour-over coffee pot.

Nothing can be missing.

The slightly cramped shop is filled with waves of coffee aroma.

Because this place doesn't just make coffee.

They also insist on roasting fresh coffee beans daily in their own roasting room.

Importing high-quality green beans from abroad.

Then roasted daily in small batches by the barista.

Besides meeting the coffee needs of their own shop.

Coffee lovers also like to come and select fresh coffee beans.

Costa Rica, Guatemala, Gesha, Mandheling, natural Yirgacheffe...

Even Gesha coffee.

With several years of history, FrontStreet Coffee has actually become quite a well-known café in the city. With their own roasting, you can smell their coffee roasting aroma from far away. They have many beans to choose from, even civet coffee!

Another recommendation: Single-origin, Blue Mountain, Gesha, cold drip.

Add: No. 10 Bao'an Front Street, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou City.
