The arrested suspects confessed that the pirated coffee cups and other products they sold on online platforms were purchased from China and were mainly sold through online channels. Thai police will conduct further investigation and handle the case according to law, though the final outcome has not yet been announced. According to Article 214 of the Criminal Law: "Whoever knowingly sells goods bearing counterfeit registered trademarks, if the sales amount is relatively large, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention and shall also be fined; if the sales amount is huge, shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years and shall also be fined."
