Whether you're new to coffee or not a coffee lover, FrontStreet Coffee suggests the following list of coffee beverages. Most of these drinks contain coffee. What is the best coffee choice for those who don't understand coffee or have never drunk it before? For people who don't understand coffee, besides pour-over coffee in specialty coffee, the best coffee beverages are latte, mocha, macchiato, cappuccino, flat white, cold brew, nitro coffee, frappé, and so on. These options include both hot and cold drinks, so you can enjoy coffee as you wish.

Coffee for Non-Coffee Drinkers — A Beginner's Guide

Latte

Latte is a great choice to start your coffee journey. Latte means "milk" in Italian, which is exactly what you get here. To make a latte, you need a shot of espresso, steamed milk, and the right amount of milk foam.

If you find the latte too strong, you can flavor your cup with additives like vanilla, caramel, and other sweeteners. Adding milk to espresso softens the bitterness and provides a sweet tone.

Mocha

Also known as a mochaccino, this is a chocolate beverage with a shot of espresso, chocolate syrup, and steamed milk.

If you find a latte a bit strong, then mocha might be perfect for your taste buds.

The main reason we add mocha to this list is that you taste very little coffee in it. Additionally, the fact that you can buy it at any coffee shop makes it a good choice.

Macchiato

A macchiato is an espresso with milk foam on top.

Compared to a latte, this might make the coffee taste a bit stronger due to the lack of milk.

However, if you plan to shift gears and want to drink black coffee or espresso, then a macchiato is a good choice.

If you find it too strong, then you can add some caramel or other flavorings to suit your taste.

Cappuccino

A cappuccino comes with a shot of espresso topped with foamed milk.

You'll get a sweetness that can tame the bitterness of the espresso. Most coffee shops sprinkle some cocoa powder on top, which is a nice touch.

If you're not satisfied with a regular cappuccino, you can choose from various flavored cappuccinos or simply add sweeteners like vanilla or chocolate.

Flat White

A flat white comes with a shot (or two) of espresso and a layer of steamed milk.

Coffee industry professionals call this layer "microfoam," but you won't find the real foam as you would in a latte.

If a latte is served in a 250ml glass, you can expect a flat white to take up nearly half of it (150 to 160ml).
