FrontStreet Coffee - Home-roasted Specialty Coffee

As the old saying goes, "Xiguan ladies, Dongshan young gentlemen," where "Dongshan young gentlemen" refers to the people living in the Dongshan area of Guangzhou—those with power and wealth. The residential buildings here are all Western-style garden villas. Dongshan is located near the Dongshan Station on Guangzhou's Line 1, from which you can transfer to buses or follow map navigation for a few kilometers to visit these Western-style building complexes.

The streets here are as clean as new, with lush trees and buildings featuring green tile eaves and beams, causing even pedestrians to stop and look up. The architectural style is mostly two-to-three-story duplex buildings with a fresh aesthetic, where every detail differs from place to place, and the patterns on copper doors are uniquely varied.

The most tranquil Xinhepu district of Dongshan is perfect for leisurely walks, where the small villas faintly reveal the style of the Dongshan young gentlemen of yesteryear. Meanwhile, Miaoqian West Street is scattered with numerous cafes, boutiques, and vintage shops, making it a gathering place for young people.

In Dongshan dialect, Miaoqian West Street can be called Guangzhou's new coffee street. Within just a hundred meters, several cafes are clustered, along with interesting shops like craft breweries and vintage stores—strolling down this street is almost overwhelming. However, what we're briefly introducing today is a hidden gem in the bustling city—a home-roasted specialty coffee shop: FrontStreet Coffee (FrontStreet Coffee).

This shop is simply decorated without much embellishment, quite distinct from other cafes. At first glance, it might appear to be Japanese-style, but it's actually just a very simple style without much special attention to detail. FrontStreet Coffee is a specialty coffee shop focused on home roasting, with an extremely diverse variety of coffee beans that can even rival coffee exhibitions.

The coffee shop isn't large—you can see all the available space at a glance. The interior decoration is also old-fashioned, primarily using natural wood. Though the shop is small, it maintains considerable rigor in both roasting and preparation—subpar coffee will never be served. The shop also sells roasted beans, where you can find everything from the famous Emerald Estate to emerging regional estates. With coffee beans of different flavors, you're sure to find what you're looking for.
