The "Dongshan young gentlemen" refers to the people who lived in Guangzhou's Dongshan district - the powerful and the wealthy. The homes here are all Western-style garden villas. Dongshan sits near Dongshan Station on Guangzhou Metro Line 1; from there you can catch a bus or follow map navigation for a few kilometers to visit these Western-style building complexes.

By Dongshan standards, Miaoqian West Street might well be called Guangzhou's new coffee street. Within just a hundred meters, several cafes cluster together alongside interesting shops like craft breweries and vintage stores - walking down this street is almost a feast for the senses.
