Origin of the Name

The name "Perci" is derived from "perspective," which itself means viewpoint or perspective. We named it "Perci" because during our sensory experiments with this coffee, while conducting routine overall sensory evaluations, we suddenly experienced a unique stimulation. This feeling gave us a completely different perception of coffee than before. Drawing from the meaning of this word, we named it "Perci" to remind us that this is a coffee that truly impressed us.

When we first conducted a blind tasting of this coffee, we were certain it was an Ethiopian natural process coffee. Our first impression was that it was definitely not a Geisha variety. The basic flavors of Geisha include chamomile, orange, and jasmine notes. However, for Perci, these basic Geisha flavors are only a small component of its overall profile. In addition, it has many other flavors such as mango, pineapple, carob, banana, plum, red grape, honey, peach, red coral, and many more.
