FrontStreet Coffee - Brazilian Cerrado Natural Yellow Bourbon Introduction
Region: Cerrado
Variety: Yellow Bourbon
Processing Method: Natural
Flavor: Light citrus fruit aroma, rich cashew-like nutty fragrance, sweet chocolate aroma
Mouthfeel: Sweet and gentle smooth fruit acidity, thick and sweet texture
Brazil's three major specialty coffee producing regions are Cerrado in the central-west of Minas Gerais, South Minas, and Mogiana. Brazil Blossom Valley Yellow Bourbon is located in Brazil's Cerrado region. However, not all coffee produced in the vast Cerrado grasslands can bear the prestigious Cerrado name. Only the plateau areas in central-west Minas Gerais with elevations between 1100-1300 meters, with high altitude and fertile soil, can produce high-quality coffee that is refreshingly sweet, has good body, and lacks earthy flavors.
Generally, Yellow Bourbon prices tend to be slightly higher, but its unique sweetness and body are indeed much better than the common Brazilian Mundo Novo variety or Red Bourbon. Especially in the aftertaste, you can feel a warm, cashew-like nutty finish.
The Blossom Valley Yellow Bourbon uses natural processing, yet achieves excellent clarity and rich body.
