Do all coffee lovers enjoy Starbucks coffee? Is Starbucks coffee the kind of flavor you have in mind? Many people like to buy coffee from Starbucks because their coffee is truly excellent.
After all, they offer a wide variety of coffee drinks, great atmosphere, and excellent service, which is why so many people choose to purchase coffee from Starbucks. Moreover, they introduce new coffee beverages regularly, and their attractive appearance has drawn many friends to visit and take photos. So which Starbucks coffee drinks are the best?
1. Coffee Beverages
1) Weekly Coffee (also known as Daily Coffee or Freshly Brewed Coffee)
For coffee lovers who enjoy pure coffee (meaning a bit more bitter), you might want to try the weekly drip coffee, though not every Starbucks location offers it. This is a cost-effective black coffee product, and you can add milk for free if needed. The flavor is milder than Americano, and it's typically served hot by default.
2) Americano
This is a coffee product made by diluting espresso with water. If you want to experience the rich and mellow aroma of coffee, try a hot Americano. If you prefer a crisper taste, try it iced.
There's one thing to know when ordering iced Americano: it becomes increasingly diluted as you drink. Because it contains both ice and water, the ice continuously dilutes the coffee concentration as it melts. If you want a richer iced Americano, you can add extra shots of espresso, though this will cost extra; alternatively, you can request ice only without water, letting the ice gradually melt and dilute the espresso concentration.
3) Latte
Lattes come in many varieties, and both hot and cold versions are delicious! A latte is a product made with milk + espresso. Friends who are lactose intolerant can choose to substitute with oat milk/other plant-based milks. Generally, lattes are less bitter than Americanos, but if you're still concerned about it being too bitter, you can choose vanilla or other flavored lattes.
4) Mocha
Mocha is essentially a latte with a large amount of chocolate syrup added, making it a milk coffee product with a rich chocolate flavor. Additionally, this coffee is topped with a layer of whipped cream. Friends who don't like overly sweet drinks or need to maintain their figure should order with caution!
5) Caramel Macchiato
Caramel Macchiato is made by adding espresso and vanilla to rich hot milk, then drizzled with pure caramel, creating a beverage that blends three different flavors. It's also a relatively sweet milk coffee.
2. Tea Beverages
1) Iced Shaken Lemon Tea
The default iced shaken lemon tea is made with black tea, and Starbucks uses tea bags to brew their tea. Friends who prefer a more sour taste can order their lemon tea this way: no tea, extra sugar, less ice. Then the entire cup becomes sweet and sour lemon juice!
2) Tea Latte
Tea Latte contains no coffee—latte means milk, not coffee. So Tea Latte is black tea + milk, essentially milk tea. I absolutely love it, and the hot version is better than the iced one. The hot version is made by brewing black tea bags in hot water, then adding heated milk. Tall and Grande sizes use one tea bag each, while Venti uses two tea bags!
3) Matcha Latte
Similarly, this also contains no coffee, and you must try it iced! Order a Venti with less ice, extra matcha powder, and half sugar—it's incredibly delicious! (I think Starbucks' matcha powder is quite good. Some people like hot matcha lattes, but personally I don't prefer them.)
3. Frappuccinos
The common characteristic of Frappuccinos is that they're sweet, as they all need to be mixed with Starbucks' proprietary Frappuccino syrup. Generally, they require two or more types of syrup plus whipped cream, as you can imagine. If you don't like sweet drinks, you can request half sugar.
1) Matcha Frappuccino
This one is quite famous and is a safe choice when treating friends and family who don't drink coffee.
2) Caramel, Mocha, Java Chip
All of these contain coffee, and Java Chip also adds chocolate chips with chocolate sauce on top of the cream, making it relatively the sweetest. If you want to drink Starbucks and get more caffeine, you can add an extra shot, which will create a more complex flavor profile.
Starbucks not only offers many types of coffee but also numerous tea beverages. With such diverse choices, it's no wonder so many friends choose Starbucks. I wonder what kind of Starbucks coffee everyone prefers? Is it traditional specialty coffees, sweet and delicious cream Frappuccinos, or specialty coffees with prominent coffee flavors?
Actually, regardless of how many types of coffee there are, as long as you can choose one that you like and suits your taste, it's good coffee! There are too many choices in this world, and it's not easy to find a beverage you truly enjoy.
