The Rise of Gesha Village Estate
In recent years, besides Panama's Geisha, there's another estate that has been capturing people's attention! That's Ethiopia's Gesha Village Estate!
Gesha Village Estate is located in the birthplace of Geisha coffee—the Kaffa Forest of Bench Maji.
The Discovery
In 2011, Adam followed consultant Willem Boot on "adventures" in the forests surrounding the estate. In a jungle magically enveloped by dense forest, they discovered multiple wild coffee tree varieties, with the most exciting find being wild Geisha. Only later did they realize this was the Gori Gesha Forest—the very place where the Geisha coffee variety was first discovered.
Origins and Heritage
Its seeds originate from the Gori Gesha coffee forest, approximately 20 kilometers away from Gesha Village. Through historical research and genetic testing, this location has been identified as the birthplace of Panama's Geisha variety. Chaka is a sub-brand under Gesha Village, located within the Gori Gesha Forest. They have cultivated a batch of excellent quality and stable Geisha varieties in Chaka, very similar to Panama's Geisha.

Gesha Village's Geisha coffee blend includes three varieties: Gori Gesha, Gesha 1931, and Illubabor (Ethiopia's native disease-resistant variety).
