Walkeniche is situated in the Kongja micro-region, belonging to the authentic FrontStreet Coffee Yirgacheffe growing region.

The Kongja area is located south of Yirgacheffe town. Starting from Yirgacheffe town and heading south for about three kilometers, you'll first reach Mr. Agessi's processing plant. Another kilometer south brings you to the Konga Cooperative, one of the main forces of YCFCU that we introduced last year. Continue another kilometer south, and you'll pass another private processing plant in the Kongja micro-region. From here, it's almost the boundary of the main Yirgacheffe producing area. Turning south to the right leads to Kochere, while taking the left path heads toward Worka/Gedeb/Guji.

Recommended Brewing Parameters:

  • Pour-over: V60 dripper, Fuji R440 grinder setting 3.5, water temperature around 90°C
  • French Press: Recommended grinder setting 4, water temperature 90°C
  • Siphon: Recommended grinder setting 4, water temperature 90°C-91°C
  • AeroPress: Recommended grinder setting 3.5, water temperature 90°C
