Authentic Blue Mountain coffee commands a significantly higher price than many common coffee varieties due to its limited production. In the 1960s, Japan assisted Jamaica with post-disaster reconstruction, helping restore Blue Mountain coffee's production and quality to previous levels. Consequently, the Jamaican government signed a priority purchase agreement with Japan.

Until 2012, 90% of the coffee beans produced annually in Jamaica's Blue Mountains were purchased by Japan, with the remaining 10% distributed to other countries and regions. Due to the already limited quantity, Blue Mountain coffee became one of the most expensive coffees outside of Japan.

Blue Mountain coffee's prestigious reputation stems not only from its premium price but also from its ability to captivate everyone who tastes authentic Blue Mountain coffee with its rich, mellow aroma. How to Identify Authentic Blue Mountain Coffee

True Blue Mountain coffee originates from Jamaica's Blue Mountains. The highest peak reaches 2,256 meters, while coffee is typically cultivated below 1,700 meters, with higher elevations designated as ecological protection zones. Thanks to local conservation efforts, Blue Mountain remains a famous tourist destination.

Jamaica is situated in the tropics, with coffee trees distributed throughout the Blue Mountain range. The air here is fresh and unpolluted, the climate is humid with temperatures around 27°C, and persistent clouds and mist provide natural shade for the coffee trees. Combined with fertile volcanic soil, these conditions produce exceptionally high-quality Blue Mountain coffee beans.

All exported Blue Mountain coffee beans must receive Jamaican government certification and be shipped in wooden barrels, accompanied by government-issued certificates of authenticity/coffee origin certificates.
