Many people have never tasted Blue Mountain coffee, but have heard of it. Blue Mountain coffee is actually coffee beans produced from the Blue Mountains in Jamaica. The famous Blue Mountain coffee mountains are located in the eastern part of Jamaica island, surrounded by a very famous sea - the Caribbean Sea. Because of the surrounding Caribbean Sea, whenever the weather in this region is clear, sunlight directly shines on the azure sea surface, then reflects the blue light from the sea surface onto the mountains, hence the name Blue Mountain coffee.
True Blue Mountain coffee has altitude planting requirements. Authentic Blue Mountain coffee is produced from the Blue Mountain region of Jamaica. Only those grown at altitudes between 1000 to 1700 meters are considered genuine Blue Mountain coffee. Those below this altitude are called Jamaica Blue Mountain High Mountain Coffee, with the highest grade called NO.1, also known as Blue Mountain No.1.
Among them, the most famous Blue Mountain coffee estate is called Clifton Estate. This estate is currently the oldest coffee estate still in normal operation in Jamaica, and is also considered one of the best estates in the Blue Mountains. At an altitude of 1300 meters, genuine Blue Mountain coffee is only processed using the washed method, with the highest grade being NO.1.
Clifton Estate's Blue Mountain No.1 not only has an elegant and refreshing taste, but also perfectly balances and integrates acidity, body, and aroma. With bright and pleasant acidity, it carries floral and lemon aromas when tasted, featuring high sweetness and a long aftertaste.
