Background Information:
This coffee comes from the Chanchamayo valley in central Peru, one of the country's main growing areas. Chanchamayo's production accounts for 40% of Peru's total output. The land here is managed by small farmers, with an average of 2-3 hectares per family.
This coffee is grown at high altitudes and processed with shade treatment, growing slowly to cultivate high-density, flavorful varieties. Additionally, to improve coffee quality, farmers have made tremendous efforts—using only organic and sustainable methods when growing coffee.
