The machine body uses a hairline-like texture, the scale dial uses a matte material, and the bean hopper is made of black transparent resin. The combination indeed appears quite novel in appearance design. The cloud-shaped design of the bean hopper also inherits HARIO's consistent classic style, making it highly recognizable. The metal start switch on the machine body adds many points to the entire grinder. The HARIO logo and switch text both use concave-convex three-dimensional treatment, which is satisfying to see!

The grinder uses 36mm stainless steel conical burrs, which is not a particularly large size, but it's already sufficient for home use. After all, large burrs require a large machine body, which would actually be inconvenient for home use.

In terms of grind settings, the entire machine has 44 adjustable settings, which can meet the needs of various brewing methods such as pour-over, siphon, French press, AeroPress, moka pot, etc. However, for finer settings like espresso machines or Turkish coffee pots, it basically cannot achieve them.

There is a metal baffle between the bean hopper and the machine body. You can first put coffee beans into the hopper, then open the baffle after starting the machine, which can avoid extremely hard beans getting stuck and reduce the motor's burden. The base also comes with a non-slip mat that can be removed for direct cleaning. This is extremely convenient for cleaning coffee grounds. Even if the mat is covered with coffee grounds, it's no problem - you can just tap it gently and it will be completely clean. This is much more user-friendly than traditional models that require endless brushing with a brush.

The only thing I think should be improved is: there should be an automatic power-off switch when opening the burrs. This would prevent injuries during cleaning. Although other grinders also don't have this feature... we can't just criticize HARIO.
