A couple of days ago at FrontStreet Coffee, we discovered Rwandan coffee beans—not from a specific estate but from the Gishek washing station. This phenomenon piqued our interest. Could it be similar to Kenyan coffee, where small-scale farmers deliver their coffee cherries to washing stations? After researching, we found that this is indeed the case. Many coffee farmers in Rwanda cannot establish operations like the large coffee estates found in other parts of the world.
